Last week, we analyzed the vocabulary in Japan Times articles.  I asked you to choose the articles yourselves so you could see the vocabulary list was valid.  Your results ranged from 87 to 98% coverage.  Many of these words you already know, so I have reduced the vocabulary list to 655 words.  This week, we will begin learning the vocabulary efficiently, using software called Anki.

先週の授業で、ボキャブラリーリストとジャパンタイムスの記事を見比べ、 どれくらいの確立で、ボキャブラリーリストに載っている単語が、記事に出ているかを確認しました。その結果、８７－９８パーセントの確立で、単語が記事で使われていました。今回私は、２０００の単語の中から、簡単な言葉を削除し、６５５の単語を選んできたので、今週から、その単語を効率よく勉強するために、「Anki」というソフトを使っていきたいと思います。

1.  Go to http://ankiweb.net/account/login.
2.  Sign up for a new account.  Important: Use your Dokkyo email address and a 4-number password.
3.  Check your Dokkyo email address and click on the confirmation link from Anki.
4.  Follow my instructions, and make cards for the first 30 words in the list.
