In today's exercise, we try to answer this question:

If a student learns the 2000 words in this vocabulary list, what percentage of a newspaper can they read?

Vocabulary List

1. Check all nouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs in your news article against the vocabulary list. Ignore everything else.
2. If not listed, mark the word.
3. Count all the words in the article. (Total Words)
4. Total Words - Unlisted Words/ Total Words = %.
